Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Non-Refundable Deposit

A deposit of $150 USD is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to: illness, travel disruptions, flight cancellations, change of plans, or natural events.

2. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking:

• More than 48 hours before the event: Your deposit is forfeited. No additional charges apply.
• Less than 48 hours before the event: The full balance of the experience is due. Chef Brandon and the team will have already purchased ingredients and prepared for your event.
• Same-day cancellation or no-show: Full payment is required.

3. Delay Surcharge

If your event is delayed by more than 1 hour from the agreed start time (for reasons outside Chef Brandon's control, such as late guest arrival or late villa access), a surcharge of $100 USD per person per hour will apply, or the booking may be cancelled without refund at the chef's discretion.

Please ensure your villa, property, or venue is accessible at the agreed time. Chef Brandon and the team will arrive at least 30 minutes before the experience begins to set up.

4. Guest Count Changes

Your final guest count must be confirmed 48 hours before your event. Reductions in guest count after this point will not be eligible for a refund on those guests. Additional guests may be added (subject to chef availability and minimum notice) at the standard per-person rate.

5. Travel Surcharge

A travel surcharge of $45 USD applies to all events located more than 1 hour by road from Willemstad, Curaçao. This will be communicated and confirmed before your deposit is processed.

6. Force Majeure

BC Private Chef reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to circumstances beyond our control (extreme weather, emergency situations, health events). In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule at a mutually agreeable time. The deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date at our discretion.

7. Dietary Requirements & Allergies

It is the client's responsibility to inform Chef Brandon of all dietary requirements, allergies, and intolerances at least 48 hours before the event. BC Private Chef cannot be held responsible for any reactions arising from undisclosed dietary information.

8. Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours before the original event date. One complimentary rescheduled date may be offered at the chef's discretion. Subsequent reschedules may require a new deposit.
